Team Structure

Organizational Hierarchy & Tactical Units

The Devil Dogs are organized using a structure inspired by modern infantry units. This system allows players to operate in small, coordinated teams that can scale into larger formations during major events.

Hierarchy Visualization

Company

Level 05

The largest organizational structure within the Devil Dogs. The company commander oversees the overall coordination of the team and ensures that each platoon operates effectively within the broader plan.

Platoon

Level 04

Multiple squads form a platoon. The platoon leader focuses on coordinating squad movements and maintaining communication between different elements of the team.

Squad

Level 03

Multiple fire teams combine to form a squad. The squad leader coordinates the movement of fire teams and ensures that objectives are carried out effectively during games and milsim events.

Fire Team

Level 02

The fire team is the smallest tactical unit within the Devil Dogs. Fire teams operate together during gameplay, moving as a unit to cover terrain, engage opponents, and support other teams.

Individual Member

Level 01

Every member of the Devil Dogs begins as an individual rifleman — the foundation of the team. Riflemen are responsible for maintaining situational awareness and supporting their teammates.

Roles

While every member begins as a rifleman, roles allow members to contribute unique capabilities to the team while still functioning within the larger unit structure.

Rifleman

The core combatant of the team, versatile and reliable.

Automatic Rifleman

Provides suppressive fire and high-volume engagement.

Designated Marksman

Delivers precision fire at extended ranges.

Radioman

Maintains critical communication links between units.

Sniper

Gathers intelligence, identifies enemy positions and provides long-range sniper fire.

Drone Operator

Utilizes aerial assets for surveillance and coordination. Necessity of this role depends per event.

Medic

Provides medical support and field stabilization. Necessity of this role depends per event.

Why This Structure Matters

Organizing the team using this structure provides several advantages that ensure the Devil Dogs operate as a disciplined and unified team, whether playing a small weekend skirmish or participating in a large milsim event.

Clear leadership and communication
Scalable organization for small or large events
Coordinated teamwork across multiple units
Opportunities for leadership development
Efficient tactical gameplay during milsim scenarios

Growing With the Team

Members begin their journey as individual players and gradually develop their skills through teamwork and participation.

As members gain experience, they may take on leadership roles within fire teams, squads, and larger formations.

This progression allows the team to grow while maintaining the discipline, coordination, and unity that define the Devil Dogs.
